The Civil Service Commissioners welcome the reference in the Queen’s speech to proposals on Constitutional Renewal and hope that this will quickly lead to legislation to enshrine the core values of the Civil Service in statute.

Janet Paraskeva, the First Civil Service Commissioner, has issued a statement urging the Government to find time for these important and long overdue constitutional measures. In her statement Janet says ‘A great deal of work has already gone into draft Civil Service legislation……it would be a great pity if the opportunity to make these long awaited changes is missed.’
