Vacancy for a new Commissioner
On 25 January the Commissioners launched a recruitment exercise to find a new Commissioner to replace James Boyle who will be stepping down shortly. As well as carrying out the full range of the Commissioners’ responsibilities throughout the UK, the Commissioner will be the link to the Scottish Executive. The Commissioners are therefore looking to appoint someone with significant experience of Scotland and an understanding of Scottish public life.
The closing date was 8 February 2008. The selection process is currently underway. We hope to make an announcement in late March/early April.
