Barry is responsible for assisting the Commissioners in all aspects of their role of regulating recruitment into the Civil Service. He is the first point of contact for:

• the approval of appointments to be made outside the provisions of the Commissioners’
  Recruitment Code
• complaints about the application of the Recruitment Code
